about

This music was originally from Kunqu opera and later adapted into Beijing Opera "Jigumacao" and "Farewell My Concubine", where it was used to tie Heng drumming and Yuji swordplay scenes. The song has an introduction followed by adagio, moderato, allegro, the melody moves from simple to complex. This arrangement, played by erhu and sanxian, presents the essence of the original song - bold and beautiful music in a virtuoso duet performance.
